Hey, I'm Ava
I work as a project manager. I'm a parent. An expat based in Montreal, Canada.
Some years back I moved here with my family. What started as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter living abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Canada wasn't in the plan for the long haul. As with many expatriate relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something much larger.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, routines, and expectations. Everyday chores seemed more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of learning by doing. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that fit us, met other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Built Azure Field Seed
Much of the information online was either corporate relocation guidance or light-weight travel content. What was missing was a genuine, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Canada.
Purpose of this site (and its limits)
This site is:

This site isn’t:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
